So...here I am.

I now know my DNA origins. I love this nerdy stuff :)

The big surprise for me is the 42% Irish. I know there are links to Ireland in my maternal greatgrandmother's family but no-one else so that doesn't account for such a high percentage.

The alternative is the result of migration of Danish vikings who founded Dublin and Belfast and the coast inbetween. They were expelled from Ireland in the 8th and 10th centuries and came across the Celtic Sea to the western coast of Wales and England. There are plenty of Scandinavian placenames around here. Presumably their Irish/Scandinavian mix has entered the British/Celtic genepool around here.
