mumsisdaughterI know I've been quiet but I've been very busy this week. It's been the half-term break from school. Jenn and Mark phoned to say they'd be visiting so I spent the first 4 days 'bottoming' the house. It seems that I failed to do spring-cleaning this year because once I started washing the walls and woodwork everywhere looked filthy so I couldn't stop until it was all done. Nice that they noticed the place looked brighter. (How sad that I actually found myself enjoying the whole experience--it probably took my mind off work--Informal Monitoring begins 5th November, at last. The Head is due back that day. My co-teacher is due back on 1st Nov.)
Oh, the weather is beautiful today, blue skies and a slight breeze. Samhain on Wednesday so I hope the weather stays like this.
Great to have the two young folk with us, even if they did bring a mountain of washing with them! Mark starts a new job tomorrow, building super-duper BioRecognition machines for a firm that has government orders so it looks as though this is a secure job, at last.
