Well, I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. AFF.net has pulled the VC category because Mater repeated her statement saying she doesn't like fanfic. This from the woman who has to be the biggest (not greatest, note) fanfic writer of all time with her stories about Christ.

It's such a shame that over 200 stories have bitten the dust. Good job I'd printed out the best ones, heh?

I'm all hotheaded today. When did this happen? And do you know if they pulled it because she told them to, or if they just did it?

I asked about it in the forum because the category just disappeared while I was away over Easter. The reply has a link to Mater's site in which she has reposted her disapproval of fanfics, dated last year.

Apparently, there will be an announcement made on the site but it seems as though they've done it in a hurry. I've been in contact with one of the authors affected and she didn't know it had happened.

Very sad.

Huh? Wasn't that message on her site the whole time? I remember seeing it before. Did they just see it now or did something new happen?

Anyway, it's ridiculous that she's so against fanfic that she wants to ban it everywhere. And scary she still holds onto that notion. Especially after writing her books on Christ which, I agree, are pretty much Bible fanfic. Wouldn't she think someone like "God" would want her to stop doing that?

Not surprised but it pisses me off anew. Can't she just be all holy and let the vamps go their own way (as they have whether she likes it or not)? Bleah.

What I'm irritated about this is why does she even care anymore? She says she's done with vamps, but the rest of us who are still fascinated by that world can't remain? UGH!

Wow I don't even know how I found your journal, but I have a huge favor to ask, would you please please share your copy of Louis Blue with me, I'been looking for it everywhere, I never did finish to read. I tried to use the waybackmachine on the author's page but it didn't work for the whole chapters. I'd really appreciate your help!

Ok but you'll have to wait a few weeks, sorry, 'cos we're redecorating and my pc (this is hubby's laptop) is disconnected and out of reach atm. MOM's website is still up if you'd like to try searching for it. I can't recall the URL without looking. You will find Louis Blue stored in other fanfiction sites BUT as it's sooooo looooong you might get an incomplete version that way. I won't forget :)
