Buggrit! Millennium hand and shrimp! Window open, warm air wafting honeysuckle smell (mmm--nutmeg) from the bottom of the garden, through the night, into the house and...now it's raining again!

Thinks--must get a Discworld icon.

Whatever the weather...

Though I know you're sick of rain by now, Kath, frankly, I WISH it were rainy here...today it got up to 102 F, and though that's on the low end of hot here in Texas, it's the first day it's been so warm. Tomorrow the projected high is 99 F, which means that it'll probably actually get up to 110 F. NOT good moving-in weather...though rain isn't much better, I suppose...

Just wanted to drop you a line before my intentions got lost in the midst of the true physical transition of moving in tomorrow. We'll have to make two trips, even though I'm not taking as much stuff as I could - our minivan is too small for all of it. You should have seen me earlier, at the prospects of leaving my books behind...! They are my most treasured possessions.

Besides, of course, electricity and high-speed internet access. Did I tell you that on campus we have ABSOLUTELY FREE T1 lines?! I don't know if you know what that means, you told me once you were hardly a technophile, but if you don't know, T1 is basically the best internet there is (particularly measuring speed). Although personally I think ANY free internet is the best.

If anything will prevent that 'unexpected server response' when I try to send you an email, THAT certainly will!

Gotta jet. While we can't load everything in just yet, there is still work to be done!

All my love,
- Lizzy
