Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

My hubby is VERY special. I abhored being touched as a child and feared the consequences of allowing a man to touch me as I became adult. His kindness and patience and our lovely daughter have cured me as you can tell by the result!

Oh, physical touch is essential for me in most of my relationships. I'm from the deep south. Hugs are breathing.
In fact, I sometimes, embarrassingly, have to consciously restrain myself from embracing certain people toward whom such expression would be deemed inappropriate (teachers, co-workers, etc) when I am overcome with a surge of affection for them. *blush*
