She started the transformation from dyed-black hair.
To remove the colour she did NOT use bleach but a hair dye by Schwarzkopf: Live Colour Absolute Platinum. For a week she had a mane of of hair like a lion with blonde near the scalp ranging to tan brown at the ends.
To add the green colour, she used La Riche Directions: Alpine Green (almost a blue) and Apple Green. She used the Apple Green all over then Alpine Green over her ears to give the bluer look. Since then she has redyed it by mixing the two colours loosely in her hand to get the multi-green look.
As the roots begin to show, she uses a toothbrush to touch up with the Schwarzkopf Live Colour: Absolute Platinum, then a few hours later uses a toothbrush to add the Apple Green or Alpine Green or a mix, depending on the position on her head.
For washing once a week (usually in the shower), she uses L'Oreal Full Restore (white bottle with red trim in UK) shampoo. She rinses thoroughly, then applies L'Oreal Full Restore Conditioner AND L'Oreal Full Restore Hair Mask, mixed in equal parts and rinses.
Washing tips: Do not wash too often because you will have to redye more often, which can ruin the condition of the hair. In between washes, she uses Batiste Dry Shampoo in a spray can, just along the part line then buffs it off with a dry cloth.
