Sitting at home, awaiting the final furniture delivery. Spending the rest of the day up and down stairs, collecting ornaments and cookery books from Jenn's floor and placing them in the new drawers and display cabinet. Then give Jenn's room a once-over and the house is finished.

Even the kitchen has been deep-cleaned and redecorated, which I didn't think would get done this year :)

Discovered that the pebbledash was old and leaking so that had to be replaced:



Luckily the wooden frame was still in good condition but there was no insulation.



Thick insulation added.



Plastered and colour rendered: new windows and door.

Haha! Indeed, shelves and shelves and shelves of them! Thirty years of married life is thirty years of hoarding. All DVDs, CDs and games are now inside cupboards and drawers in the same room. Pics of living/dining room to come :) Next job is to rehang all the pictures.

To be honest, I cannot remember the name of the catalogue we chose it from. We selected the double-glazing firm because they offered the honey oak colour for the frames. They showed us the door catalogue and it took ages to choose because there were so many beautiful designs and window shapes. Anyway, here's a link to show a similar catalogue, though I recall the one we saw had more coloured glass pictures and patterns available. Thanks for the compliment :)
