I have to post this before the ''content strike' begins.

For anyone who remembers the trouble our school is going through and has sent me support in the past, well, we had another day of observations on Wednesday and the verbal feedback is very positive.

I was observed teaching a Literacy lesson, concerning our very local part of the Legend of King Arthur. Martin Mere was once the largest lake in this part of England until it was drained to make more farmland. In our small locality, it is deemed to be not only the lake from which Arthur received Excalibur, and returned it on the day he 'died', but also the origin of Sir Lancelot of the Lake. The lesson went very well and I breathed a huge sigh of relief at the end of it.

We just have the Planning and Book Scrutiny to get through now for a clean bill of health.

Four days off now. Hurray!

There's not much left of Martin Mere but what there is is now a Waterfowl Trust reserve.
