Bloody telephone engineers!

For over a week, we have been without the landline--okay, husband diverted incoming calls to his mobile phone--sorted. But outgoing calls through the mobile will have costed him a bomb! He is rubbing his hands and working out how much compensation to ask for :)
But then, oh noes!!!! Not content with buggering up the phone, the engineers working at the exchange and then the local junction box decide we don't need the broadband connection for a day or two or three! So that means we were also without the signal for BTVision and we couldn't record anything to the digital box's hard drive. Luckily, I had preprogrammed it for regular stuff we like to watch, including the reruns of Homeland, thank goodness! These did record but nothing I wanted to record manually, hmmph :(
EVENTUALLY it all was sorted and we are now back to normal. Phew!
As I said to the daughter, "Your Dad and I might have to start talking to each other!"
She replied, "He can go upstairs and use my Xbox and you can watch DVDs."
Lovely girl :)
Next task is to find out what's been going on with my LJ friends, so please forgive me if comments are late, haha!
