Soooo hotttttttt today! The first day that feels like summer is on the way.

Just a photo to remind myself of how well last year's fry are doing. There are more than this and the big little one is not in this shot. It's about 5cm long. The ones in the pic are 1-3cm long. Not sure if they are young goldfish or carp. If goldfish they should begin to show some colour soon.

Good shot --I couldn't manage a good one of the tadpoles last summer for love or money. Keep us posted!

We are having some nice weather too - mid-uper 70's this afternoon which is the warmest we've had since last fall. It's welcome!

Fishies!

How well I remember my late former father in law's garden pond, with his wonderful goldfish. Even when I visited years later, there was one of the remaining fish, a big old white fish that I named Enoch Powell. That pond was lovely with lilies and rushes. Do you have more photos of your pond? I'd love to see them!

I'll root some out from other years to show it at its best. Atm it's recovering from us savaging the overgrown yellow flag and the blanket weed treatment. The lily pads are up but it's too early for flowers. Also the foliage around the edges is flourishing but the flowers aren't out apart from the bluebells.
