Mum

Mum died at 11am this morning. The decline was rapid. Last week we were talking about getting her home to die, by Thursday we knew we wouldn't disturb her.

She was a strong-minded woman and had made lists of things to do and bequests to individuals. Dad died on 13th March last year. It's the end of an era.

Thanks :) Neither of my parents were great believers in an afterlife...but they knew how to be good people. It is a thoughtful quote, thank you. They were so proud of all of us and what we've all managed to achieve through their love, support and encouragement. Neither were judgmental of anyone, so if we have made mistakes their love helped us through the mess.

Now, I'm the eldest, I'm not sure if I can carry the mantle but I'll try :)
